CARMEL – Putnam Humane Society President Michele Dugan dressed for the occasion as the Easter Bunny and welcomed volunteer Paul Wechsler while cuddling “Winona,” a middle-aged cat on medication seeking that forever home.
Paul Wechsler devoted Easter Sunday to the animals seeking that forever home while staying at the Putnam Humane Society in Carmel.
The 17-year-old Mahopac High School senior is working on his community service project this semester and decided to assist the staff, volunteers and animals themselves at the county’s animal shelter.
