PEEKSKILL- Local musician Kristina Koller started her journey booking live music two years ago co-producing the very successful “Feel Good Music Series” at Charles Point Park in Peekskill. Since she became a resident of Peekskill, Kristina is determined to bring high caliber artists to perform in the area.
Kristina spent six years living in NYC, experiencing the downtown jazz music scene via networking and performing. Through her new music production company High Top Productions LLC, Koller is producing South Street Jazz with a focus on bringing progressive jazz artists to the local community.
South Street Jazz will consist of three monthly shows starting in September featuring artists prominent in the progressive jazz scene. The shows will be held at the Artist Spot located at 925 South Street in Peekskill, NY. Show dates and artists are as follows:
September 10, 2023: Saxophonist, Tivon Pennicott
October 15, 2023: Guitarist, Gilad Hekselman
November 12, 2023: Vocalist, Chiara Izzi.
The venue capacity at the Artist Spot is a cozy 60 seat maximum, providing an intimate listening room vibe similar to iconic NYC clubs such as Smalls, Mezzrow & the Village Vanguard. In addition to the great music, wine will be available to purchase from Reserva Wine Bar of Beacon. Artwork from local artists will adorn the walls of the venue.
