NEW ROCHELLE – A 56-year-old New Rochelle man has been charged with firing a gun inside an apartment at 2 Lawton Street in New Rochelle on Wednesday evening with the projectile going through a wall into an adjoining occupied apartment.

No one was injured, police said.

Officers and detectives secured the area, made contact with the man inside the apartment where the shot originated, and he eventually came out and was taken into custody.

Daniel DaSilva of New Rochelle was charged with the felony of reckless endangerment. Police said additional charges may be filed after a search for evidence is completed.
