ALBANY – New York has set aside over $160,000 for 107 law enforcement agencies to replace old or obsolete radar devices with state-of-the-art speed enforcement equipment and to date this year, six Hudson Valley departments have received funding.
Police departments in Brewster, Greenburgh, Highland Falls, New Windsor, Piermont and Scarsdale have received funding to purchase new devices.  Each unit costs about $1,500.
The money comes from the state Division of Criminal Justice Services.
