POUGHKEEPSIE – Four simultaneous power outages struck Central Hudson customers in Hyde Park on Thursday at approximately 5:21 pm. The multiple outages have affected more than 4,600 customers of the Canadian-owned utility that has been under scrutiny for erroneous billing practices and requested rate hikes recently.
The outages, according to the company’s website, indicated that crews were on their way to the outages and service is expected to be restored by 7:30 pm Thursday.
There has been no explanation on the company website to explain the outages that affected more than 75 percent of the town.
