Saugerties man charged with felony DWI on an ATV

SAUGERTIES – A Village of Saugerties man was arrested on Monday on a number of charges for operating an ATV on a public road while intoxicated. Theodore Nelson, 25, was charged with felony DWI because of a prior conviction of DWI in October 2013 in the Town of Saugerties.
His driving privilege was previously revoked following a felony conviction on a charge of aggravated operation of a motor vehicle.
Nelson was also charged by Saugerties Police with operating a motor vehicle
without a court ordered interlock device, operating an ATV on a public
road, operating an unregistered ATV, and operating without insurance. 
He is in the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000
bond.
