NEW CITY – A Monsey man will serve 10 years in state prison for a number of felonies including criminal possession of a controlled substance and operating as a major trafficker. A total of 10 sentencings to four separate indictments against Aaron Parker, 30, will run concurrently.
“This defendant was responsible for flooding the neighborhoods of Rockland County with powerful cocaine,” said District Attorney Thomas Zugibe. “Were it not for the hard work of the Drug Task Force, this dangerous criminal would still plague our community. His actions warrant the lengthy prison sentence.”
Based on a drug task force wiretap investigation, on September 15, 2015, Parker, along with codefendant Patricia Mortel, was pulled over while driving on the Thruway in Clarkstown. A search of the vehicle revealed the two possessed some 300 grams of cocaine.
