GOSHEN – A 28-year-old Middletown man was sentenced in Orange County Court on Monday to 10 years in state prison and 10 years of post-release supervision in connection with his guilty plea to the charge of rape of a child under the age of 13.
As part of the sentence, Liborio Nieto will also be registered as a sex offender.
He had admitted in court that he had sex with a child.
“The sexual abuse of a child is always an intolerable crime that deserves appropriate criminal consequences,” said District Attorney David Hoovler. “The sentence imposed in this case will ensure this offender is unable to victimize another child. However, this heinous conduct has lifelong consequences for the innocent victim.”
