HEAP season starts Monday in Sullivan County

MONTICELLO – Applications for the Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP) for this winter will be accepted beginning Monday at several locations in Sullivan County.
Health and Family Services Commissioner Joseph Todora is not anticipating problems. 
“Our expectation is that we’re going to have the same type of year that we had last year; uneventful and helpful,” Todora said.  “So, we open the doors at eight o’clock on Monday.”
That’s at five locations:

Action Toward Independence, Inc., 309 E. Broadway, Monticello, M-F 9-4 Appts. & Walk-Ins
Independent Living, Inc., 10 Prince Street, Monticello, M-W 10-4 Appts. Only Th-F 10-4 Walk-Ins
Office for the Aging, 100 North Street, Monticello, M-F 9-4 Appts. & Walk-Ins
Sullivan County Head Start, Inc., 393 State Route 52, Woodbourne, M-F 8-4 Appts. & Walk-Ins
CACHE 63 S. Main Street, Liberty, M-F 9-4:30 Walk-Ins Only

HEAP is available in all counties statewide.
