TOWN OF WALLKILL –The largest logistics company in the world, DHL,
will be conducting cargo operations at Stewart Airport near Newburgh by
early next year.

Airport General Manager Ed Harrison told an Orange County Chamber of Commerce
breakfast session in the Town of Wallkill on Wednesday that the company
is in the process of renovating a 21,000 square foot distribution facility
at the airport.

“They are investing close to half-a-million dollars and when they
start operations in early 2017, will be adding 30 new jobs at the airport
with the promise to grow in the near future,” he said. “We
have been told Stewart is the only airport in the country with UPS, FedEx
and now DHL under one roof.”
DHL has signed a 10-year lease with the Port Authority for the facilities
at Stewart.
