FISHKILL – As investigators
pour through the rubble at the burned out section of the Gap distribution
center in Fishkill that went up in flames late Monday night into Tuesday,
Congressman Sean Patrick Maloney said on Wednesday he will do whatever
he can to bring the facility back to normalcy.
He said he is already working with Dutchess County and local officials.
“I am obviously concerned with what happened but I am also concerned about the future, making sure this facility is redeveloped and they can keep the jobs here in the Hudson Valley,” Maloney said.
The about 100 workers in the one-million-square-foot building escaped unhurt but one fireman sustained a minor injury.
