KINGSTON – An Ulster County Court jury on Tuesday found Kingston dentist Gilberto Nunez not guilty in the death of Thomas Kolman in 2011.
He was found guilty on two counts of possession of a forged instrument. He could face from 2 1/3 to seven years in state prison on those charges.
Prosecutors had maintained that Nunez slipped Kolman a sedative causing his death. The defense claimed Kolman died from a heart condition.
Nunez remains out on $1 million bail pending sentencing.
