NYC man pleads guilty to being Middletown drug dealer

GOSHEN – A 33-year-old New York City man is expected to be sentenced to 10 years in state prison and five years of post-release supervision when sentenced in Orange County Court in June in connection with his guilty please to selling narcotics in the City of Middletown.

Tarrell Hicks and his brother, Mitchell, allegedly sold cocaine to undercover investigators during the fall of 2023.

When Hicks was arrested in December of last year he had a quantity of narcotics on him.

Hicks had admitted that working with his brother, they sold a half-ounce or more of cocaine in November 2023.

Mitchell Hicks previously pled guilty to drug sales and is awaiting sentencing.

Middletown City Police cracked the case leading to the brothers’ arrests.

“We simply will not tolerate the exploitation of our neighborhoods for profit, and we will hold accountable all who choose to engage in such reprehensible behavior,” said District Attorney David Hoovler.
