Bronx woman arrested for trying to smuggle drugs into Ulster Correctional Facility

NAPANOCH – State Police have arrested a 41-year-old Bronx woman
on felony and misdemeanor charges related to her attempt to smuggle drugs
into the Ulster Correctional Facility in Napanoch.

State Police said that on Sunday, May 22, Esthella Walker came to the
prison with her two young daughters to visit her husband who is incarcerated.

After entering the prison, she was found in possession of suboxone pills.
She was arrested and charged with promoting prison contraband as a felony
along with misdemeanors of criminal possession of a controlled substance
and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.

Walker was issued an appearance ticket returnable to Wawarsing Town Court.
