NEW WINDSOR – Matrix Newburgh I, LLC, the company that will develop the site for an AmerisourceBergen healthcare products facility in the Town of Newburgh, did not receive the financial incentives it expected from the Orange County Industrial Development Agency at its meeting on Thursday.
Area labor leaders are concerned about the company’s use of out-of-town workers to build the facility.
IDA Chief Operating Officer Laurie Villasuso said the board is continuing to review the concern.
“It is a sensitive issue,” Villasuso said.  “Everybody is concerned. Everybody want to make sure that the citizens of Orange County are benefiting from these projects and the IDA board absolutely understands that and wants to make sure that is what happens.”
No IDA financial benefits have been approved at this point for the Matrix project.
