Deerpark man charged with sexually abusing underage teen

DEERPARK – A Deerpark man has been arrested on a misdemeanor charge of sexual abuse after the state Department of Social Services asked State Police to investigate an incident.
Markian Halamay, 35, is accused of subjecting a girl under the age of 14 to sexual contact inside a residence.  He is in the Orange County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond.
