PINE PLAINS – Two people sustained injuries when their cars crashed head-on at about 10:30 a.m. Wednesday on Route 82 in the Town of Pine Plains.
Dutchess County Sheriff’s deputies determined that a car driven by Deborah Miller, 55, of Ancram, was southbound on Route 82 when it crossed over into the opposite lane of traffic and struck a northbound car driven by Neal Murphy, 54, of Avon, Connecticut.  Both drivers, who were alone in their vehicles, had to be extricated.
Miller was flown to Albany Medical Center with serious injuries.   Murphy was transported to MidHudson Regional Hospital by ambulance for non-life threatening injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
