SPRING VALLEY – Police in Spring Valley are investigating the discovery of human skeletal remains in a house at 59 Twin Avenue. The house, which was on fire, had been abandoned for at least one year.
The fire early Wednesday morning was extinguished by the Spring Valley Fire Department and when a search was conducted, the remains were found in a room. Police said they appear to be that of a man and had been there for some time. An anthropologist will assist the medical examiner’s office to determine the identity of the individual.
The fire appears to be suspicious; however, it did not cause the death of the man, police said.
