Mohonk Preserve secures state rehabilitation grant

NEW PALTZ – The Brook Farmhouse at the Mohonk Preserve has been awarded a $250,000 grant for rehabilitation of a historic farmhouse located in the popular scenic landscape and trail network in the Town of New Paltz.

The building will be used as a conservation science center and the site of its new headquarters in the Town of New Paltz.

The rehabilitation, along with an offsite ground mount solar array installation will comprise the first phase of a multi-year project to improve conservation, reduce carbon emissions and enhance tourism.

The total project cost is $1.8 million.
