KINGSTON – Single-family home sales in Ulster County in the first quarter of the year rose by 13.3 percent above last year, the Ulster County Board of Realtors reported.
A total of 225 homes sold in the first three months of 2023, compared with 255 so far this year.
The average selling price also rose by more than 13 percent. The average home sold in the period of January through March of 2023 for $452,316, compared with $511,886 so far in 2024.
Homes also sold much faster so far this year – just under 10 percent quicker. The average home was on the market for 65 days this year compared by 72 during the same period in 2023.
Home sales in March along fell by 3.5 percent, from 89 in 2023 to 86 this year.
The average selling price in March, though, rose by 2.2 percent, going from $479,847 last year to $$490,395 this year.
