MONSEY – A Monsey man, who was crossing the road at Route 45 and Washington Avenue in Monsey Sunday night, was struck by a hit-and-run driver.
Solomon Diamant, 61, suffered several head, face and chest injuries. He was transported by Hatzolah Ambulance to Westchester Medical Center for treatment of what police said were non-life threatening injuries.
The Ramapo Police Accident Investigation Unit examined the scene of the 9:20 p.m. incident and determined the vehicle involved may have been a gold color late model Toyota with damage to the front right quarter panel. The passenger side mirror was also broken off as a result of the accident.
