LAGRANGE – The standoff between a man barricaded in his home and the New York State Police ended peacefully, without incident late Thursday afternoon. The incident began as a dispute between the landlord and tenant at 575 Noxon Road and escalated quickly.

Police were dispatched to the dwelling at approximately 12:20 pm after a report of a man, possibly armed with a knife, involved in the dispute.
When police arrived, the tenant refused to exit the residence, initiating a standoff that lasted several hours before the man surrendered.
No arrests were made and the incident is under review.
