HYDE PARK – Dutchess County Sheriff’s deputies and Hyde Park police officers responded to a silent alarm at a Route 9 bank on Wednesday morning at approximately 9:35 AM.  The presence of police vehicles around the bank caused much speculation by customers of area businesses.

The law enforcement response to the TEG Credit Union on Route 9 in Hyde Park Wednesday morning resulted in many people taking to social media with posts of a bank robbery.  That speculation was unfounded.

Police officials told Mid-Hudson News that the “hold-up” alarm had been triggered, drawing the police response.  The officers investigated the call and verified that the alarm had been tripped accidentally.  No crime was committed.
