WALLKILL – The 13-year-old boy who stabbed a fellow 13-year-old student repeatedly in the chest at the Monhagen Middle School in the Town of Wallkill on Wednesday, December 13, has been charged with attempted murder, Wallkill Police said.

The victim remains hospitalized at Westchester Medical Center in stable condition, said Lt. Robert McLymore.

The suspect was also charged with assault and criminal possession of a weapon.

Because of his age, the case is being handled by the Orange County Attorney’s Office.
