NEWBURGH – An alleged sexual predator was arrested on Thursday, On October 13, 2022, by the Orange County Child Abuse Unit in conjunction with Orange County Child Protective Services. The accused is Jose Ramos Alonzo, 33, of Newburgh.
An investigation determined Alonzo engaged in a course of sexual conduct with a child less than 11 years old. He was subsequently arrested on the felony charge of predatory sexual assault of a child and a misdemeanor charge of endangering the welfare of a child.
Alonzo was arraigned in the Town of New Windsor Court and remanded to the Orange County Jail without bail.
