NEW YORK – Attorney General Letitia James ended months of speculation by announcing on Friday that she is running for governor. She will have to face off in a Democratic primary against Governor Kathy Hochul next year.
In a video tweet, James enumerated her accomplishments in office including bringing down former Governor Andrew Cuomo over his sexual harassment scandal.
The video said she will fight for good paying jobs, a healthcare system that puts people ahead of profits, protecting the environment, making housing more affordable, and improving all schools.
