NEWBURGH – A Poughkeepsie man was arrested on Tuesday afternoon he was spotted with a gun.

Peter Telesco, 23, was charged by Newburgh City Police with two counts of criminal possession of a weapon for having a 9mm semi-automatic firearm and a loaded clip loaded with 10 rounds.

Just before 3 p.m., police were called of a report in the area of South and Liberty streets in Newburgh and when he saw officers, he fled on foot. Police officers chased him in their vehicles until he was taken into custody.
