GOSHEN – Deputy Orange County Clerk Kelly Eskew formally announced her intention to run for county clerk this November.

Eskew has served as deputy clerk since 2014 after having served as Crawford Town clerk from 2002 through 2013.

She has the backing of County Clerk Annie Rabbitt, who is retiring at the end of the year and County Executive Steven Neuhaus.

Eskew a Republican, does not consider herself a politician. “I am running for county clerk because I love public service and I know our team can continue to have a positive impact on peoples’ lives,” she said.

Also this week, Newburgh City Councilman Anthony Grice, announced his intention to run for the clerk’s post on the Democratic line.
