DWI arrest leads to weapons charges

CAIRO – A 27-year-old City of Hudson man was arrested by State Police following a traffic stop on Route 23 in the Town of Cairo when it was determined that he was driving while ability impaired by alcohol and with a suspended license.

A search of James Gaudiosi, Jr.’s vehicle yielded a loaded .22 caliber pistol, a .22 caliber long rifle, a black magazine containing ammunition, a billy-club, Tramadol in a pouch and marijuana.

He was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation, criminal possession of a weapon, criminal possession of a firearm, DWI, criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana.

Gaudiosi was arraigned and released on his own recognizance.
