SAUGERTIES – A Saugerties woman has been arrested for calling both the Saugerties Police and Ulster County 911, repeatedly for hours on Friday morning, September 4, 2020.

41-year-old Christine Diliberto of Saugerties was allegedly intoxicated when making the calls.  According to Police Chief Joe Sinagra, Diliberto “called the Saugerties Police Department repeatedly for hours, tying up emergency phone lines. Diliberto called with no emergencies, berated the emergency dispatcher, screaming, and spewing obscenities. Diliberto then began calling the Ulster County 911 center, tying up county 911 dispatchers.”

Saugerties Police located Diliberto, taking her into custody and charged the subject with the misdemeanor of Obstruction of Governmental administration in the 2nd Degree.  Diliberto was released pursuant to the new bail reform law.
