CORNWALL – The Cornwall Central High School Football Dragons are NYS champions.
The Dragons won the NYS football championship on Friday at the Carrier Dome in Syracuse.
The Dragons squared off against the undefeated Trojans of West Seneca East High School and remained undefeated with a score of 21-14. The Dragons are the first to win the Class A State Championship in the history of Section IX football.
A crowd of supporters lined the street Friday night in frigid Temps to welcome the team home. The hastily prepared parade featured the team bus being escorted by police and fire departments from four towns.
