NEW WINDSOR – Police are investigating a serious personal injury
auto accident that occurred Sunday afternoon on Bruenig Road at New York
Stewart International Airport.

New Windsor and State Police responded along with the Vails Gate Fire
Department and New Windsor EMS to an SUV and crashed into the rear of
a tractor-trailer on the local entrance to the airport.

Bruenig road was shut down while firefighters extricated the driver from
the vehicle.

A landing zone was established at the nearby Little Britain School, but
while the helicopter was arriving, New Windsor EMS decided to transport
the victim to the hospital.

The condition of the SUV occupant was not immediately known.
