MONTICELLO- A 27-year-old Livingston Manor man was sentenced in Sullivan County Court to 20 years in state prison following his guilty plea for course of sexual conduct against a child.

The conviction and sentencing of Brandon Quick by Judge James Farrell stems from an investigation by State Police following a report made by the victim to a school official detailing years of sexual abuse.

Quick was also sentenced to 10 years of post-release supervision and mandatory registration as a sex offender.

“Children are life’s most precious commodity, and my office will continue to seek harsh penalties for sexual predators perpetrating these despicable acts,” said District Attorney Brian Conaty.

“I hope this serves as a wakeup call to those who seek to do harm to children in this county, you will be caught, and you will go to prison.”

The DA commended the victim for her bravery and thanked her for “her fearless commitment to this process; we could not have secured this conviction and sentence without you.”
