“Effective Monday, November 5, all schools within the Village of New Square and any school with less than 70 percent vaccination rate to MMR – measles, mumps and rubella, within the geographical area that is effected by the measles outbreak, and that is Spring Valley and Monsey, they will be required to keep unvaccinated or under-vaccinated students home until 21 days have passed since the last confirmed case of measles in Rockland,” she said.
That is in addition to a letter Dr. Ruppert issued on October 18, to schools that were attended by students with confirmed cases of measles, that un- or under-vaccinated students remain home.
