TOWN OF MONROE – A two-car
crash on eastbound Route 17 in the Town of Monroe on Sunday, September
30 claimed the life of a Haverstraw man.
State Police identified the victim as the driver, Jonathan Domingues,
22, who was pronounced dead at Orange Regional Medical Center in the Town
of Wallkill.
A front seat passenger, Michelle Pocho, 20, of Haverstraw, was also transported
to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The other vehicle in the crash, also traveling eastbound, was driven by
Jakob Katz, 29, of Airmont, who was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital
in Suffern with minor injuries.
The Troop F Collision Reconstruction Unit responded to the evening crash,
the cause of which remains pending.
