Pre-dawn crash on I-84 in Putnam County near the Ludingtonville

TOWN OF KENT – An early morning crash between a car and a tractor-trailer
claimed the life of one person and shut down Interstate 84 eastbound east
of exit 17 at Ludingtonville Road in the Town of Kent for hours on Monday;
it was reopened to trafic at around 2:30 p.m.
A sedan and 18-wheeler collided tipping the truck over on its side.
State Police are continuing to investigate the cause of the crash.
The name of the victim has not yet been made public.
