KINGSTON – City officials hope to make getting around Kingston that much easier with their Wayfinding Signage Master Plan.
Mayor Steven Noble said the concept is to develop new directional signs for people to find their way around the city.
“It’s a great concept and it’s a great opportunity for us to get around the city, which has been for many, difficult, because of the one-way streets and the 1600’s-era design, this is a way, for the first time, to point people in the right direction,” Noble said.
The Ulster County Transportation Council is funding the $80,000 design process.
Discussion of the plans and potential designs will be held this Thursday evening at 6 p.m. at Kingston City Hall.
