” MTA workers will start replacing railroad ties on the viaduct
this weekend
SALISBURY MILLS – MTA crews will be starting the massive project
of replacing ties on the Moodna Viaduct this weekend.
The viaduct, east of the Salisbury Mills Metro-North station, has 2,300
individual bridge timbers, and this weekend starts the tie replacement
project.
Buses will substitute for trains between Port Jervis and Harriman from
11:30 p.m. on Friday, August 17 and continuing until 7 p.m. on Sunday,
August 19.
Buses will follow train schedules and make all regularly scheduled stops
to Port Jervis.
