TOWN OF WALLKILL – A Bronx man, whose car crossed into the opposite
lane of traffic on Route 17M in the Town of Wallkill on July 16, 2017,
killing the other driver, has been arrested.

Following a one-year investigation by the State Police and Orange County
District Attorney’s Office, Robinson Perez, 30, was charged with
aggravated vehicular homicide and manslaughter in the death of Dustin
Mills, 30, of Middletown in the mid-morning crash.

Perez was held in the Orange County Jail pending arraignment.

“Fatalities caused by those who drive while under the influence
of any substance are as preventable as they are tragic,” said District
Attorney David Hoovler.
