TOWN OF LLOYD – A 39-year-old New Paltz woman was killed in the
Route 299 crash Sunday evening.

State Police said Danielle Pecoraro was driving a 2018 Ford pickup truck
that was hit head-on by a 2008 Porsche Cayenne that was fleeing police
at a high rate of speed.

Town of Lloyd Police tried to stop the Porsche, driven by Ryan Williams,
29, of Poughkeepsie, that was speeding and would not stop for the officers.

As Williams’ car approached the intersection at South Street, it
struck the side of a 2008 Ford and then crossed into the opposite lane
of travel striking the pickup truck.

Williams was transported to Westchester Medical Center and is listed in
critical but stable condition.

The passenger in the pickup truck, Mercedes Rosato, 24, of New Paltz,
was transported to MidHudson Regional Hospital in Poughkeepsie in stable
condition.

The investigation is continuing with the Ulster County District Attorney’s
Office investigating with criminal charges pending.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call State Police
at Highland at 845-691-2922.
Back in 2013, Williams was charged with offering a $2,000 bribe to a
Kingston police officer who stopped him for speeding and running a red
light. He was also charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor
vehicle at the time.
