POUGHKEEPSIE – The Communications Workers of America Local 1120 in Poughkeepsie endorsed Gareth Rhodes, for the Democratic Party nomination to run for the 19th Congressional seat from New York. The post is currently held by Republican John Faso.
Rhodes is one of seven Democrats vying for their party’s line on the November ballot.
“For too long the working men and women in this country have had no voice in Congress,” Local 1120 President Frank Fauci, Jr said on Friday. “We have been left behind. Gareth’s working class and deep local roots, record of public service and government experience, and shoe-leather approach to campaigning make him the most electable candidate.”
Rhodes’ work experience includes having been an aide in the governor’s office.
