Fifth tornado confirmed

SAUGERTIES – A fifth weather event in the region on Tuesday has now been classified by the National Weather Service as a tornado.
This one, in Saugerties, was confirmed with a maximum estimated wind of 90 miles per hour.
Four other events were also listed as tornados.
The Newburgh city event registered peak winds of 85 mph. A tornado in Kent registered peak winds of 110 mph while in Patterson peak winds were logged at 100 mph.
Peak winds in the Yulan area of Sullivan County were not listed on the National Weather Service website.
