ALBANY – The State Health Department announced on Friday that two people in Putnam County have developed measles resulting from exposure to two European tourists with measles who visited the area last month.
The new cases potentially put others at risk of developing measles, though the risk is low for people who have been vaccinated or are immune, health department officials said.
Anyone who visited the following locations may have been exposed:

Watchtower Education Center, 100 Watchtower Drive in Patterson between 12 p.m. and 3 p.m. on April 26 in the dining hall; between 12 p.m. and 3 p.m. on April 27 in the main lobby area; and between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. on April 27 in the dining hall.
Museum at the Watchtower World Headquarters, 1 King Drive in Tuxedo Park, between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. on April 27.
Red Line Diner, 588 Route 9 in Fishkill, between 10:30 p.m. on April 27 and 1:30 a.m. on April 28.
Subway Restaurant in Patterson Commons, 3104 Route 22 in Brewster between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. on April 29.
DeCicco and Sons food market, 50 Independent Way in Brewster, between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. on May 1.

A third case of measles resulting from the original exposure has also been confirmed in a resident in Connecticut, but there have been no exposures in New York as a result of that case.
The New York Health Department previously announced that due to the original exposure by the European tourists, anyone who visited other locations may have been exposed:

Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, New Jersey Avenue in Brooklyn, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on April 15.
Watchtower World Headquarters in Tuxedo Park between 11 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on April 16.
Watchtower Educational Center in Patterson between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. on April 17.
