LIBERTY – Two Sullivan County men are under arrest following a
traffic stop on route 17 in the Town of Thompson.
State Police determined the driver, Eric Evans, of Liberty, had a revoked
driver’s license and was also in possession of brass knuckles, which
are illegal.
The passenger, Christopher Beatty, of Loch Sheldrake, had two outstanding
warrants.
Evans was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation and criminal possession
of a weapon. Beatty was charged with bail jumping.
