WHITE PLAINS – A New Rochelle
man has pled guilty in Westchester County Court to armed robbery for a
crime that took place in the Village of Ossining on February 12, 2017.
Sincere Smith, 22, is scheduled to be sentenced on June 13 and faces up
to 25 years in prison.

He is currently in Westchester County Jail awaiting sentencing.

Smith was convicted of assault on February 28 after a weeklong trial concerning
a May 13, 2017 incident at a Main Street, New Rochelle barber shop in
which he and another man pistol-whipped a victim. On February 2, 2018,
Smith’s co-defendant, Philip Sutton, pled guilty to assault. He
admitted acting along with smith in the assault.

Smith is also charged along with co-defendants Eric Lee, Allen Copeland
and Leroy Garcia with the murder of Trevon Boswell in Mount Vernon.

That took place during a 12-hour violent crime spree that occurred on
May 22, 2017. Smith faces up to 25 years to life in prison if convicted
on that pending 50-count indictment.
