Ulster Sheriff’s K-9 Farrell with seized contraband

TOWN OF ULSTER – A 69-year-old Town of Ulster man is being held
in the Ulster County Jail following his arrest on Friday.

URGENT Task Force members and an Ulster County Sheriff’s K-9 unit
executed a search warrant at the residence of Edwin Pomales on Route 32
and seized a quarter kilogram of cocaine, one ounce of concentrated cannabis
wax, a half-ounce of marijuana, scales, drug packaging material, shotguns,
rifles and over $15,000 in cash.

Pomales was charged with two counts of felony criminal possession of a
controlled substance, and misdemeanors of criminal use of drug paraphernalia,
possession of drugs, possession of marijuana and criminal possession of
a weapon.
He was remanded pending a future court appearance.
