Spring Valley man arrested for breaking into auto repair shop

NEW CITY – A Spring Valley man is in the Rockland County Jail following his arrest on Sunday evening for allegedly breaking into and burglarizing an auto center in Nanuet.
Robert McDonald, 60, is charged with breaking into the Duluc Auto Center on North Middletown Road by smashing a garage bay window and fleeing with an unspecified amount of cash. He was charged with felony burglary and misdemeanor criminal mischief.
The investigation is continuing into other burglaries with the same modus operandi. Police from Clarkstown, Spring Valley, Ramapo, and Orangetown and the Rockland County Crime Analysis Unit are involved.
