Poughkeepsie woman arrested for bail jumping

HIGHLAND – A Poughkeepsie woman has been arrested on a number of charges including bail jumping.
The Ulster County Sheriff’s Office reported that Amyia Vasquez,
27, was taken into custody early Monday by Lloyd Town Police. She was
wanted on an outstanding bench warrant stemming from a 2016 charge of
aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle as a felony. She was
also charged with bail jumping as a felony.
Vasquez was arraigned and remanded to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $25,000 bond.
Deputies were assisted by the City of Poughkeepsie Police Department and Town of Lloyd Police.
