The house was fully involved in flames when firefighters arrived
SOMERS – An early morning fire on Tuesday claimed the life of a
46-year-old woman.
State Police said the fire at 12 Hickory Road was reported around 2:15
a.m. The structure was fully involved when firefighters arrived on the
scene.
The sole occupant, Harmony Thaler, was found dead inside by fire personnel.
The cause of the fire is not considered suspicious, police said.
The Somers and Croton fire departments were on the scene along with Westchester
County Emergency Medical Services and the county Fire Cause and Origin
Team.
