MONTICELLO – A Monticello man was sentenced in Sullivan County Court to 21 years to life in state prison for killing the caretaker at a Town of Thompson bungalow colony.
Ricky Bolden, 37, pled guilty to murder and admitting intentionally killing John Ferrari, 61, of Riverdale, New Jersey by striking him repeatedly with a shovel.
Ferrari’s body was hidden on the Pardess bungalow property on September 23, 2016.
Bolden worked for Ferrari at the bungalow colony.
Forensic investigators found the victim’s blood on Bolden’s sneakers, his sweatshirt and his jeans and found a glove that had been tossed in the garbage with Ferrari’s blood on the outside and Bolden’s DNA inside.
Sullivan County District Attorney James Farrell praised the county sheriff’s
